Whole-Home Remodeling

A whole-home remodel is the chance to fix the things a series of smaller projects never will: awkward circulation, dark rooms, closed-off kitchens, dated systems and a floor plan built for a different way of living.

Full Home Remodels

A whole-home remodel is the chance to fix the things a series of smaller projects never will: awkward circulation, dark rooms, closed-off kitchens, dated systems and a floor plan built for a different way of living.

Because everything is in play at once, coordination is the whole job. LA Construction and Maintenance sequences structure, systems, finishes and millwork so the house comes back together as one cohesive result rather than a set of separately renovated rooms.

Capabilities

What LACM handles

  • Floor plan and layout reconfiguration
  • Structural changes and new openings
  • Kitchens and bathrooms as part of the whole
  • Interior finishes, millwork and finish carpentry
  • Electrical, plumbing, HVAC and systems coordination
  • Window and door replacement, including large glass systems
  • Architectural detailing and material transitions
  • Indoor/outdoor living and exterior scope

Process

How the work moves forward.

  1. 01

    Conversation

We start by understanding the property, the goals and how the finished space needs to work day to day.

  2. 02

    Planning & Scope

Scope, sequencing and constraints are defined clearly before construction, so decisions happen early rather than mid-project.

  3. 03

    Construction

Owner-involved construction with direct communication, coordinated trades and consistent site control.

  4. 04

    Completion

Finish work, punch list and closeout handled properly. LACM does not leave a job unfinished.

Considerations

Worth knowing early

  1. 01

Full remodels are usually easier when the home is unoccupied. If that isn't possible, phasing needs to be planned from the start.

  2. 02

Opening up an older house tends to reveal conditions no one could see beforehand. Allowing for that in schedule and budget makes the project calmer.

  3. 03

Long selection lists move faster with early decisions. Material lead times often drive the schedule more than labor does.
